Israel Forever

Shalom friends,

Half a century ago, even with the establishment of modern Israel, Jews could only look at our holiest places from afar. Still, we kept Jerusalem and Zion in our hearts and in our homes.

That situation changed in 6 short days. On the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar, over a static filled army radio, Lt. Gen. Mordechai "Motta" Gur broadcast the famous words, "The Temple Mount is in our hands!" (Hebrew: הר הבית בידינו‎‎, Har HaBayit BeYadeinu). The rest is history—Jerusalem has been returned to the Jewish People.

Enjoy learning about Jerusalem and our eternal connection with our Yom Yerushalayim resource packet.
