Israel Forever

Shalom friends,

Mother Nature’s alarm clock is set to Tu B’Shevat time in Israel. The trees are waking up from their winter slumber. As their roots stretch deep in to the land, pulling nourishment to give them the strength to bloom and bear fruit, Tu B’Shevat reminds us that we, the Nation of Israel, pull nourishment from the same land – Zion.

The almond trees are starting to bloom and we are getting ready to celebrate the birthday of the trees and through their connection to the land – we celebrate our own.

Israel Forever is pleased to bring you a variety of ways to celebrate and feel Israel at home with Tu B’Shevat in your arts, seders, and more.

Known in Israel as “Chag Ha'Ilanot” (Ilan אילן= tree), we honor this day when budding fruit enters a new year of life and the first bulbs of spring are beginning to bloom.
