This is a war for our soul, our identity, our children, our future. The Maccabees fought in the heart of the homeland. And our families living dispersed among the nations have lit candles generation after generation, to remember that time and to carry that strength forward to us - the heirs of Jewish destiny. In each one of those times, there have been attacks on Jews. There has always been a reason for despair, but we have kept our candle burning. Now, it is our turn.
