Shalom friends,
This week began with the horrific murder of Kim Levengrond Yehezkel a young mother, just 28 years old and Ziv Hajbi, father of three, just 35 years old. Both worked in a factory that granted equal opportunity employment to Arabs from the Palestinian Authority and believed in economic coexistence as a stepping stone to peace. This made the news that the terrorist that murdered them and wounded another woman was also an employee in this factory, particularly disheartening.
Last month Jews around the world were deeply impacted by the murder of Lion of Zion, Ari Fuld who seemed to be in everyone’s circle.
Since March Israelis in the south of the country have been suffering from arson terrorism from Hamas in Gaza and our soldiers have to be constantly on watch due to the continued Gaza riots.
How is it possible that with the constant threats of terrorism and war, injury, trauma and bereavement, Israelis consistently rank among the happiest nations on earth?
The Living Beyond Terror video was created by Israel Forever interns Marshall Ivler, Abby Chargo and Rachel Brynien.
Israel Forever interns go on a unique and personal journey while they are part of our team – connecting to their own Jewish identity, Israel and lending their voice to help others do the same. We are proud of our interns who now continue to spend their year as Israel Forever Ambassadors on their campuses and in their home communities.
Visit israelforever.org to see more of the special material they and other Israel Forever interns have created!
