Israel Forever

Shalom friends,

This week we look at leadership - past, present and future. This is not about political leadership, this is about the visionaries, the brave ones and the young ones who will determine the future of our people.

On July 3rd we mark the death of Theodor Herzl, the visionary of the modern state of Israel.

On July 4th, while Americans are celebrating Independence Day, we remember the anniversary of one of the most daring rescue missions of all time - the raid on Entebbe. On that day the world witnessed the power of an independent Jewish State when IDF commandos flew across the globe to rescue Jews because who else would rescue Jews?

Some of those taken hostage were Holocaust survivors with tattoos on their arms and the memories of being victimized fresh in their mind. It was their children who rescued them, showing to the world the true meaning of NEVER AGAIN.

Whether they know it or not, the younger generation stems from the line of visionaries and heroes. We look to them because they are our future. The Zionism of young Israelis combined with the journey of young diaspora Jews connecting to their roots, to Israel and their Jewish identity is what will make us strong and able to successfully meet the challenges of the future. We bring to you here the story of both in hopes that you will feel as inspired by their journeys, their Zionism, as we are!

HERZL'S DREAM
