MARCH OF THE LIVING VIRTUAL CITIZENS OF ISRAEL: CONNECTING THE PAST WITH THE FUTURE
Your journey through Poland holds a special place in your heart. The memories you inherited and those you created are embedded in your mind. Your experiences and emotions still defy description but have become a part of you.
You encountered the memory of thriving Diaspora Jewish life abruptly shattered by the events of the Holocaust. In spite of the silence, you heard their prayers, songs, and dreams that reflected their longing for an end to the exile of the Jewish People, an end to persecutions, and a place they could truly call home.
This commitment to the rebuilding of Jerusalem, to the return to Tzion, has been transmitted from generation to generation, and it is this passion that helped to establish what has now become reality.
We are now able to witness the society, culture, and democracy of Israel as she prospers in her beauty, strength and accomplishments. Israel gives life to the 2000 year-old dream of a return to our ancient homeland.
Today, we can all be connected to Israel as the place where every Jew is at home, where we have the right to defend ourselves, where we can flourish and celebrate the existence of the one and only Jewish State in the world.
Israel is where we can bond in our common commitment to the future of our one and only Jewish state, as a unified nation, no matter where in the world we may reside. The connection we feel will become stronger, our voice can be unified and the message we send will become clearer.
