There is a feeling of desperation we all have, frustrated with this forever war, tortured by pain, by psychological abuse, and frightened by the widespread demonization by our enemies. Growing threats in the medical industry, spaces of employment, and among our own communities horribly divided by politics and antiZionist Jews trying desperately to find meaning in a Judaism devoid of our source in our homeland.

Until EVERY hostage is home, we will not give up the call for everyone to DO MORE. Our efforts must intensify.

Don’t be a bystander as we watch our hostages return in such horrific conditions, as we continue to wait, pray, and hope, as a mother and two her two precious babies and 70 others sit in the dungeons of Hamas.

This has to STOP now. And we cannot grow weary.

Looking to do more? We can help.

On President's Day in the United States, we make an effort to recognize the leadership of those who took the helm of one of the strongest democracies in the world and tried to create good for a nation and a people. We try to emphasize the decisions and diplomacy they achieved. Along every path, they faced challenges, disagreements, and responsibility. Today, as we witness the most recent changing of the guard, we are also witness to a positive shift in the alliance between the United States and Israel - one of respect for the Jewish right to self defense in our homeland and around the world, and one that we all hope will reign in a time of peace.

Even those with doubts or dislikes can recognize the fundamental support we hear in calls to release our hostages, and to destroy the evil that is Hamas and the terrorism that has been allowed to flow freely throughout the world. Today's war for Israel's freedom from this tyranny is the same battle of generations before us - in King David's time and Ben Gurion after him. And our success is bound to theirs through the values and destiny we share.

President Lincoln expressed hope that Jews who were suffering oppression in Russia and Turkey be emancipated “by restoring them to their national home in Palestine."

President Truman was the first to recognize the newly reborn Jewish state in the Land of Israel on May 14th. His confirmation sealed the acceptance of Israel among the family of nations at the conclusion of the British Mandate over the region of Palestine, stripped of its Jewish identity but never stripped of the biblical birthright.

President Theodore Roosevelt proclaimed, "There can be no peace worth having unless...the Jews given control of Palestine."

President Eisenhower knew the threat of denial of Jewish suffering was real when he proclaimed to his soldiers at the liberation of the death camps, take photographs of everything because some day someone will come and try to claim none of this happened - a denial we see happening again today.

President Kennedy proclaimed, "Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom."

And President Trump has not only recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the homeland of Israel, but continues to proclaim Israel's justice against a world of lies.

We cannot allow the deniers to defeat our truth. And we don't have to be a President to make a difference.

There are those at rallies raising their flags, and those sharing on social. There are those teaching our youth, and there are those advocating for our rights. The war we are up against is a war of words, a war of intimidation. Now more than ever, we must stand up and rise above.

We cannot afford to be scared. We cannot afford to be silent.

Every one of us has a role we can play.
