Humanizing Israel Against the Rise of Demonization
Diaspora Jews are reeling from the aftermath of October 7, and at a loss of how to face the rising hate against us. Whether one feels an affinity to Israel as a homeland or is unaffiliated with the land but branded “Israeli by association” because of a Judenrein charter, world Jewry is very focused on tending to the rising needs of its people who are under attack both from those who use violence and terrorism, and those who dehumanize Jews through hate and invective. And so, even as we try to empower each other, there are an increasing number who are either too tired or afraid to speak up for our nation and our homeland.
THE CHALLENGE OF HASBARA: WATCH THE REEL
The challenge of defending Israel, our morals and humanity, is increased as the world repeats the lies of the "massacre" or "genocide" committed to the "innocent civilians" in Gaza - blatant lies that are part of the Hamas propaganda machine, one that allows them and their affiliates to torture Israel and Israelis with international approval. They purposely hide behind their civilians, as has been proven repeatedly, to set Israel up for failure - and the world believes them willingly.

We cannot imagine the horrors facing the remaining 120 hostages, in addition to all the soldiers killed in battle, and the Israelis who are still in mourning or in fear of rocket attacks. The north continues to be in flames, attacked by drones and rockets from Hezbollah - yes, the northern Lebanon front, but still with the same Iranian Islamofacist backing.
Though Israel continues to try to end this war, prevent civilian deaths on all sides, the relentless and brutal tactics of our enemies are unfortunately designed to appeal to the emotions of the social-justice warriors of the world, people who are looking for a cause to rally behind, but not necessarily devoted to the research behind it. Their fabricated, compelling "data", images, and phrases mask the efforts of the true warriors of peace and justice, the soldiers of the IDF who comprise the most moral army in the world.

As this war continues on all fronts, through words and protests and rallies, attacks on the streets of the world and in the skies above Israel, we must not let ourselves get discouraged. We must come together, learn and share the truth, and find strength in each other as Virtual Citizens of Israel.
