Israel’s history is measured by eras of development, destruction, persecution, liberation, all of which have shaped and been shaped by ancestry, religion, and culture. The myriad of communities scattered throughout the world over nearly 5000 years give evidence to a rich heritage and a spectrum of traditions that embody the life and identity of the Jewish People. To affirm and protect the continuity of memory of this valuable history, The IFF is an ardent supporter of developing programs that emphasize:

• The dynamics of Jewish history and its impact on Israel as a whole entity
• The rich heritage borne of generations of pride as a united Jewish nation, in exile and within our ancient homeland
• Reflection on the unique identity of global Jewish communities
• The historical Jewish passion for nationalism as expressed through the eternal love of Zion, the Land of Israel, and Jerusalem
• The transmission of memory of the innumerable individual and collective experiences
