Elie Wiesel on Antisemitism: Fear, Memory and Action

Tags: Holocaust, Memory, Elie Wiesel, Jewish Identity, Antisemitism

We want to have courage in the face of the hatred we hear about, combat the anxiety we and those close to us feel about its outgrowth. Yet even the greatest of Jewish leaders and visionaries had fear in their hearts whenever the waves of the ancient disease would rise, and we can look to them for guidance on how to deal with our own.

On the anniversary of his passing, please join us as we explore the thoughts of Elie Wiesel as he wrote of his fear nearly 50 years ago. His words provide an important context to understanding our own fears, and hearing his voice can help us connect with how his message reverberates for us today.

Join Elana Heideman, doctoral student of Elie Wiesel Z”L, along with Elisha Wiesel, Elie’s son, in learning from his fears and his dreams for the Jewish people that we carry on in his memory.

Let his words, life, and legacy continue to touch and inspire the hearts of others for years to come.
