Good Deeds Day 2019: Healing Through Art

Join Israel Forever and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for The Sara & Samuel J. Lessans for Good Deeds Day on April 7, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Art Room at the Bender JCC in Rockville, Maryland to take part in an important initiative to show victims of terror in Israel that YOU care.

Life in Israel comes with many challenges, and terror attacks are unfortunately a part of our ongoing reality.

For the past several years members of the Greater Washington D.C. community of all ages and stages of life have gathered together for Good Deeds Day to create Healing Arts for survivors of these brutal terror attacks. Their artwork and Letters of Friendship are then delivered by the Israel Forever team to victims and their families throughout Israel to help both children and adults regain a sense of peace and security in moments of stress and despair.

In 2018 our project hit closer to home when Netanel Felber, an Israel Defense Forces soldier who is the son of Judi Felber, our dear friend and former Israel Forever team member who helped to create this initiative, was shot in the head by a Palestinian terrorist.

*This is a non-competitive and non-judgmental art activity for people of all ages and stages of life to enjoy*.

There is no message more powerful than “you are not alone.”
