Peres accomplished a lot in his life. Moving to Israel at age 11 with his family he grew up in Tel-Aviv and participated in Haganah (Pre-state Israeli underground military). Peres served as in many different political positions including Prime Minister and President. Peres is the only politician to serve as both. Peres was instrumental in the Entebbe rescue mission of almost 100 Israeli’s and Jews by Palestinians. In 1996, Peres created “Peres Center for Peace”. Their mission is to foster the foundations for peace by creating joint projects between Israeli’s and Arabs.
