Yom Yerushalayim / יום ירושלים

When: May 12, 2018 to May 13, 2018
Summary: Jerusalem Day - Celebrating the Reunification of a People and a Past

Event Details

Though the modern state of Israel was born in 1948, for twenty years, Jews were cut off from the heart of Jerusalem, the heart of the Jewish people, the axis of our collective national and historical identity, the center of our faith, and the focus of the history of the Jewish people for generations. Yom Yerushalayim is marked by state ceremonies, memorial services for soldiers who died in the battle for Jerusalem, and parades through downtown Jerusalem.
