ABOUT AMERICANS 4 ISRAEL

As the non-partisan and independent party, A4i is committed to peace, unity and security for the Jewish State of Israel and for the Jewish people of the world. We share common goals of increasing the scope and scale of Zionist youth movements, promoting young professional activity that encourages Jewish and Zionist values and identity, and supporting cultural and religious pluralism, social responsibility and a commitment to democracy in Israel and in the United States.

ABOUT WORLD ZIONIST CONGRESS

The World Zionist Congress (WZC) has a long and vibrant history. Most know very little about this organization that embodies the collective and democratic representation of the Jewish world since the days of Theodor Herzl . Discussions and voting on resolutions presented by organizations around the world, it is here that the dynamic debate on the matters relating to the Jewish national dream, vision and legacy come to life.

This historic event, first convened in Basel in 1897, is held every 5 years as a forum for the active engagement with the Zionist dream of a free Jewish state in our ancestral homeland. Leaders from around the world who have succeeded in building their delegation slate in accordance with the bylaws of the WZO, drafted by the original leaders of the great movement for the fulfillment of our national destiny.

Each slate has its own platform that outlines the central principles that make their delegation meaningful and relevant. In today’s climate, that is not an easy task. The intense political and ideological divisions in our Jewish world continue to threaten our stability as a nation. But indeed, this kind of breakdown of unity has plagued our people as long as we have existed, with our personal ideologies and allegiances dominating our understanding that our strength comes from our willingness and struggle to work together in spite of all obstacles and challenges. We saw it in France in the 1790s and again in Germany when Enlightenment, an expansion of Jewish rights, the onset of an identity crisis previously unexperienced by Jews in the Diaspora.

Now more than ever, as we head towards the Congress in October, our voice and passion must be employed to deafen and diminish the fear and despair caused by Jew hatred rising all around us. To defeat waves of contention and indifference, it is we who must shift the course of response.

Why is voting so critical this year?

With the State of Israel besieged on many sides, with the current state of relationships between the State of Israel and the United States administration, with the concern of the general public whether we still care about the State of Israel and its survival, here’s our opportunity to take a stand.

VOTE TODAY for the Americans 4 Israel slate for the 38th World Zionist Congress (WZC) - Together we can advance our shared commitment to combating Antisemitism, promoting Jewish literacy, Holocaust education and the Israel connection around the world by representing an apolitical voice of active engagement to the forum of the Zionist Congress.

The Zionist elections allow us to voice our opinions on many issues. From the left to the right politically, from the right to the left religiously, including all religious streams and political points of view, there is surely one of the ten slates for everyone. Votes matter.
